I have just completed a new acrylic painting which I’ve called ‘Derelict Cottage’. It is based on an abandoned building I discovered during my trip to County Donegal in Ireland. There were several buildings like this in the area and I love the way nature grows around and within the man made structures. I often wonder about the history of these places and also what will become of it in the future. I feel like I have really captured the atmosphere of the landscape in this one and will be getting the work framed soon. You can see the work in the ‘Abandoned Spaces’ section of this website.
