'Broadhurst Green' is 'Highly Commended'

Today I attended the Birmingham Arts Circle exhibition launch at the RBSA Gallery in Birmingham. The show features a diverse range of work by members of the group and included my recent oil paintings ‘Camp Road’, ‘Broadhurst Green’ and ‘Heading Back’. The work was a high standard as usual and it was nice chatting to the artists about their work. I was pleased to find that my painting ‘Broadhurst Green’ had received the ‘Highly Commended’ award.

The exhibition runs until the 15th November so do take a look.

Birmingham Art Circle Exhibition

The new Birmingham Art Circle exhibition is called ‘Connexions’ and opens on the 4th November at the RBSA Gallery in Birmingham. It features a diverse range of work from members of the group and runs until the 15th November. I will be showing my ‘Quiet Roads’ oil paintings which depict misty landscapes on a road through Cannock Chase forest. These pieces are part of a new body of work focused around the theme of journeys.

I have been enjoying working in oil paint again and have a few pieces lined up inspired by a recent trip to Ireland. I also have a drawing that needs to be finished as well as a new commission. The new studio really is a wonderful space to work and I’m enjoying having a larger area to make art.
